Noodle Session - Critters from beyond WIP

I broadcast on justin.tv regularly while I work on sculptures and fun stuff. I came up with kind of a crazy idea of a critter taking inspiration from all of the movie monster creators from the 80’s.

What is it? Well it’s a pregnant female humanoid with no arms, no head, and limbs jutting out from where her breasts are supposed to be.

Sick sure, but up until this point it’s been a lot of fun to sculpt. I wasn’t really paying too close attention to anatomy, I was just having fun noodling away at this while chatting with people who watch my channel.

Still very much a work in progress. The feet and hands aren’t anywhere near done, but I decided it was interesting enough to share.

Here it is, let me know what you think!

I really like it. Better than what i can do right now. here’s my 2 cents though. for a prego, her belly is kind of flabby looking. give it more of a sphere shape. also, when women get pregnant, their innies usually turn to outies :stuck_out_tongue:
also, for a disfigured creature, it’s very symmetrical. not sure if you were going to fix that later on, but it’s very noticeable at this stage.

Thanks for the reply!

About the stomach, I had thought of that and the current idea involves the impression of a babies face coming through the skin as a final touch so the stomach will get re-sculpted. It wasn’t originally pregnant and I’ve definitely got to work on that.

And yea, since it’s just a noodle the symmetry is just for quick concept. I spent a very short amount of time breaking up symmetry before stopping this morning, but as soon as I get to working on it for the next round I’m going to work on breaking it up even more.

Probably going to take a nap here shortly and get back to work on it as soon as I get up.

Thanks again!

looks cool. different indeed. reminds me of the creatures out of the silent hill movie.

I got my inspiration from some of the same monster makers many horror games get theirs from.

I’m currently broadcasting me working on a similar project live at justin.tv/flamegoat

I’ll be posting a WIP update just as soon as I get a chance (can’t use decimation master to export and render in Max while broadcasting)

Thanks!

Alright so I’ve got a couple of updates here.

First this is an update to my earlier sculpt. Detailed things out a bit, spent some time on breaking up symmetry (it’s still very symmetrical but as I work on it I’ll continue adding little things to break that up.)

These are really just concept sculpts not to be used for anything other than fun so I’m not TOO worried about that.

It’s far from complete obviously. The legs and a lot of the smaller details haven’t been complete, it’s really just an early concept currently. As always let me know what you guys think!

Thanks!

Keeping with the theme.

Another sketched concept character.

may I ask, where the pic of the thumbnail is? that looked very intriguing.

ah… here’s the thumb pic. odd, wasn’t there when I posted my question.

anyway, I really like that one
