Ok so I’me new to zbrush and the world of 3d modeling, I’ve watched some of the tutorials and am attemting my first basic sculpture. My question is, alot of the speed scult videos I see on Youtube involve creating shperes and inserting them into the eye sockets, but for the life of me I can’t figgure out how to do this. Any help would be apreciated, Thank you.
This is assuming that the head is symmetrical on the X axis.
With the head drawn on the canvas, do the following.
-
In the Subtool submenu, click ‘Append’ button and select a Sphere3D.
-
Using the Transform tools at the top of the UI, Move (W key), Scale (E key) scale the eyeball to size and move it into position on one side of the face. If you don’t know how to use the Transform Action Line, see Understanding The Action Line. Note: You can also use the Offset an Size sliders in the Deformation submenu if you don’t want to use the Action Line.
-
Once the eyeball is scaled and positioned into either left or right side of head, whichever you chose, in the Subtool submenu, click ‘Duplicate’, which will put a copy in your subtool list, and then go to the Deformation submenu and click ‘Mirror’ button which will place the selected eyeball on the other side of the head in the position it’s supposed to be in.
-
Optional: If you want both eyeballs as one subtool, in the Subtool list, select the top eyeball in the list (the other eyeball should be directly below it) and click ‘MergeDown’ button.
Thanks this is just what I needed.
