Noise inflates my mesh (0_o)

This video will demonstrate my issue better than I can explain in text:
[youtubehd]hu8aZxo3EKg[/youtubehd]

don’t apply to mesh.

instead mask by noise and then use a negative inflate.

If you don´t want the masked part to be inflated make sure you have your Strength by mask in the Noise maker at the maximum value (1)
Any case some extrange behaviour in inflation with the noise maker is allways happening (Not in the masked part)

Edit: betta_channel option is much better for Noise maker usage in all cases.:+1:

Thanks for the replies. What is this betta_channel you mention? (Sorry - you have a Z-noob on your hands)

This really needs fixing - even the presets in the spotlight on a simple sphere does it sometimes.

Will be awesome if the Noise Maker curve could push in and out. Now it just inflate out.
The case is that NoiseMaker works even if you have a cube with 6 faces. So it´s great tool for rendering purposes. Also has some tricks to make parts transparent etc. I think this was one of the main purpose for the Noise Maker
Then if you want to really apply to your mesh the best option is as betta_channel pointed before > MaskByNoise and then Inflate manually. This could be some tiem consuming but you have more control over your noise applyed in the mesh and also can use more functions than only inflate outwards. For example you can inflate by 1 multiple times and will not be the same effect as inflate all the way up

ah I see! ok thanks that actually helps  There should be a push/inflate option in this case!
Thanks again :+1:
