i have an question and request for help.
i have an obj-file with uv`s and a jpg-file-texture. i want to put both in a ply-file.i
tried this but than i had an problem. i cant see the texture on the mesh. can i bake the texture in a vertex-colour-textur?
what shall i do?

Yes, you’ll need to press Tool>Polypaint>Polypaint From Texture. That will convert the texture map to polypaint (vertex color) and it will appear in the PLY file.
thank you marcus for the soon help. i tried it but it doesn`t work. i loaded it in the programm macics, but i cant see the texture on the mesh. what could went wrong?

If you import the PLY file (the one you exported) back into ZBrush you’ll be able to see if the color is in the file.

when i import the obj-file i exported from zbrush into a nother programm (for example magics) i don`t see the texture.
even when i import the obj-file out of zbrush back into zbrush it shows no textur.

I thought you were using the PLY format to export, not OBJ. The OBJ format generally doesn’t include vertex color. (Although ZBrush includes it in the OBJ, it can only be read by a few programs that have specifically coded for it, such as XNormal.) To use the PLY format to export from ZBrush, download and install this plugin:

When I have Zbrush 4R6 is it possible to upgrad in 4R7?
