No mesh generating from dynamesh? noob question

Sorry this is a noob question but I have dynamesh turned on and it works in some areas and then when I tried to do the mouth it screwed up and I tried searching for a solution but I don’t understand. Heres a pic how do I not get the jaggedness?

Clarify: Is that the result that Dynamesh produced, or is that what happened after sculpting on a dynameshed model?

In the case of the latter, you need to increase dynamesh resolution, and/or re-dynamesh more frequently as the polygons get distorted. Or use Sculptris Pro mode on your brushes to add polygons in real time.

Ok thanks I didn’t realize you had to re dynamesh often

The point of dynamesh is to rapidly remesh and redistribute polygons as they become stretched or distorted. Distorted polygons are what cause those rough sections…you can only stretch a polygon so far out of its original position before it becomes distorted. In Zbrush terms, an ideal polygon is as close to square-shaped as possible.

Dynameshing frequently redistributes the polygons before they get overly stretched. Sculptris Pro mode makes a great partner to dynamesh though, because it actually creates additional polygons as you sculpt in real time, reducing the frequency with which you might want to dynamesh otherwise.
