No export options in 3D Print Hub

I’m just looking at the 3D Print Hub plugin for the first time in Zbrush 4R8p2. There are import settings, but no export settings. Can someone explain what’s going on here? Is there a way to fix this problem?

They should be at the bottom. Can you show what the 3D Hub sub-palette looks like?

Hey Marcus - I completely forgot about this (I found a workaround and have been very busy since posting). Thank you for responding. Though I did find a work around via meshlab, I would still love to get this figured out.

Here’s a screengrab of my interface:

Thanks for posting that. This is because you are using the Preferences>Interface>SubPalette Popup option. It looks as though the 3DPrint Hub plugin doesn’t work as it should with that setting. I’ll pass this along to the developers.

Crap - I think my interface is fudged. When I turn off “subpalette popup” the dropdown menu for switching subpallettes disappears, but the subpallettes that are not currently active remain hidden. The export settings for 3D Print Hub don’t show up either.

After turning off the SubPallette Popup option, you need to store the configuration (Shift+Ctrl+i) and then restart ZBrush. You can’t restore the interface satisfactorily without restarting.

yeah, but when I turn it off - because it’s off - I can no longer switch to a different sub-palette, which I have to do in order to get to the config sub-palette and save the new settings.

I found a workaround: within the config sub-palette, click “restore standard ui” then “store config” and restart. You lose all your other custom settings as well, but… at least I now have access to all of the 3D Print Hub settings.

When Subpalette Popup is turned on, you can open more than one sub-palette by Shift+clicking on the ones you want in the list. And you can use the hotkey Shift+Ctrl+i to store the configuration without having to press the button.

Thanks for that extra info Marcus!
