Newbie workflow questions

Hi, I am looking to buy Zbrush now, my trial has ended some time ago. Have been playing around some but have not found a good workflow for me. I will have two workflows (I think) and would love some help on them.

First workflow.

 • I make a scene in Modo and block it out some with more details than others, but then I want to get it in Zbrush to get my hands dirty with clay, sort of speaking.
 • I prepare the model like this (got this from flippednormals btw):
 •
• Create the model and UV edgeflow and Unwrap and scale down to be inside 1x1 in Modo before GoZ.
 • In Zbrush UV Master, check ‘Symetry’ if needed and ‘Use existing UV seams’ and hit ‘Unwrap’.
 • Hit ‘Flatten’ to se the UVs and ‘Unflatten’ to hide them.
 • Send back to Modo and rearage the UV islands, and done! Time to sculpt, send it back to Zbrush with GoZ.
Question 1: When I have made like 5 subdivisions, will my UVs be messed up and I have to make new ones?

Second workflow.
I start with a Dynamesh for creative freedom and I create a medium detailed model, Question 2. do I convert it to a polymesh and export to Modo for Retopo and UVing and then back to Zbrush to get it up to high detailed level?
Or should I use the Zremesher and UVmaster to get my mesh and UVs in order for render in Modo/Octane?

And is there a good tutorial out there that explains the transform gizmo/tool? I can’t get my head around it?

Thanks in advance !
