Dear lemonnado;
First, and foremost, let me thank you for alerting me to this event.
I have a confession to make, I do not have Softimage, I am a Maya
fan. Due to the amount of time spent with Maya if they gave me Softimage
I would not install it, I would run away.
That said, the reason for my attending was the lecture that was to be given
on zbrush. I was curious to see how the software Softimage and Zbrush would be integrated.
( To summarize what I saw, Softimage , version 5 has provisions for incorporting ( importing) zbrush material and objects directly into the program.)
They also created and rendered an image with 1.8 billion poly ( really!)
It should also be pointed out that over the past few years Softimage
has lowered their price to make it easier to purchase. There is also
a 30 day demo available.
Enough about Softimage and on to the food, excellent.
Another diet will be started Tuesday.
The best for last , your presentation.
You had me from the opening line, when you said, " I am a zbrush alcholic".
Most presenters have problems with nerves before their presentations.
But you outsmarted them.
Anyone who would tape their presentation and then sit in the audience and applaud it, has my respect.
As to the content, my congratulations, you were a tough act to follow.
I would venture a guess and say that there were more than a few people
who will be visiting the Pixologic site soon.
To summarize, a delightful, educational, and high caloric evening.
PS to Pixologic, you can be pleased with Mr. L.
He done you proud.
