NEW to ZBrush and want to make Tiki Gods

Hi,
I’m having a problem with the Cylinder.
Seems when I draw it from the Lightbox it’s only the top view and I can’t rotate it. When on occasion I can rotate it, it only have a few polygons and I need more for the detail.

I’ve been all over Youtube and whatnot… Any suggestions?

When you draw a tool onto the canvas, you must enter edit mode (T) to interact with it in 3d.

Sometimes it’s finding the right buttons to push. You might benefit from my custom UI(see link below). There are settings in the Initialize palette for the primitives; doesn’t work if appended. Create your tool if need be first and then append it to the model. HTH
