New to zbrush and sculpting

Ok, never ever seen or heard of Z brush untill 5 minutes ago when a friend of mine said zbrush mini core is free and she uses the full version for her artwork.

I am a medical and areospace engineer and have done alot of part design in solidworks, sketchup pro and autodesk products… but today, for some reason wanted to go buy some sculpy poly clay and get creative.

But then i saw z brush. I am wanting to learn something new. My grandmother was an excellent artist and sculptor but i dis not inherit that, i got the math and science portion haha. However, i believe anyone can be an artist so im willing to take a crack at it. My goal ia to 3d print my sculpture on my cr10.

Soo, where do i start for a brand new artist? Any tips? Thanks a bunch

Hi @Lt72884 Welcome!

Yes, ZBrushCore Mini is free. Sculptris is also free. You can start with either of those. Download and play!

Yes, anyone can be an artist, but, not everyone can be a good one.

There are ot of videos on youtube, but i want to find accurate videos. Bad practice does not make perfect. Do you know of any good youtube videos that will get me going with zbrush mini and sculptris? Thanks

Well, ZBrushCore Mini just came out 1 day ago so I doubt that there is going to be much tutorial wise. About the only thing available right now is the Features page and the introduction video on Pixologic Youtube channel and the hands-on video by Gamefromscratch. As far as Sculptris goes, I use the full version of ZBrush and Sculptris tutorials are not something that i had really looked for.
