New to the world of 3d sculpting/modeling

Hey all,

I am new to this particular kind of work but I am going to be studying 3d modeling and animation starting this fall for a degree in game design.

I got a trial version of zbrush and sort of improvised to see what i can come up with.

This is the point in which I am at now, but I would like to hear your thoughts on how I am doing with this being my first time messing with such a program. I started molding this model from just a sphere.

Great start! If I could make a few suggestions, obtain as much information and pictures for your reference library as you can. Draw, Draw, Draw. The better you get with a pencil the better you will get in Zbrush. Draw from real life. Take as many anatomy classes as possible. See if your school offers a class called Écorché. This is an amazing class that will help you gain valuable knowledge on human anatomy.

Keep up the good work.

I would also recommend obtain some Gnoman Videos. Also Videos from freedom of Teach.

Not a bad start. I superimposed a real face over your sculpt and then drew in the major lines, might help you get your face in line with those proper landmarks:

Aside from that, you might want to consider working in clay and clay tubes, they tend to allow you more care and flexibility when building up your forms.
