Hey, thats a great tutorial, but Id like to see a little more detail on the bump maps and how they are used in combination with displacement maps. They are mentioned pretty briefly on the second page with no real reference to them afterwards. Im also interested in your recommendation to use DSubPix 4 when creating displacement maps. Theres a few posts on zbc that would indicate that this isnt really necessary, but Im interested if you have a differing opinion on the subject.

you are totally right , i forgot to add the bump map
yopu add it to any of the methods for these scratches that you might loose in displacment
Im in the process of re writting some parts of the tutorial

only thing missing from it was how to export a obj file, old users of maya probably know about the obj format, but ppl like me who started off w/ 5.0 probably are clueless to it…u need to load a plugin

window > settings/preferences > plugin in manager > objExport.mll
