when cutting with the new Knife tools Zbrush frequently closes as app here without any warning and just disappears. Any known issue shere?

There are some known general stability issues with the knife brushes. This is typically, but not always, the result of attempting to cut through a section of the mesh with difficult or problem topology. The knife brush itself can create difficult or problem geometry with a previous operation, and can result in a crash if the user attempts to cut through the same area without cleaning that topology first. It is often necessary to resurface the mesh with ZRemesher or otherwise in order to keep working in that area.

Thx for the answer. To be honest that is a kind of unsatisfactory UX design. I would expect a warning to the user and a blocking of crash provoking actions from a software side. But a sudden closing of the app without a single warning…hmmm.

this is very frustrating. Knife brushes are my favorite brushes, but the constant crashes makes me want to bang my head on the desk.
could be interesting to be able to force an automatic dynamesh or zremesh to the brush after each cut
