"New From Polypaint" is creating a solid black texture

Hi.

I’m having trouble getting a texture out of Zbrush 4.R2. The object has a UV map and is polypainted. When I press “New From Polypaint” in the Texture Map box the resulting texture is solid black. I need to find out what is preventing me from saving my work. I’ve saved numerous polypainted textures in the past. This should not be a problem.

Please do the following:

  1. Use Tool>Texture>New From UV to get a texture of the UV mapping.
  2. Hover over the resulting texture to display its popup.
  3. Take a screen shot and provide that to us. Do not edit the screen shot in any way. (It needs to be the entire interface.)
  4. Also include your system specs, the number of polys in the model and the size of the texture you’re creating.

The tool has 5.834 million points at 5 subdivisions where the poly painting occurred. My system is Windows XP 64 Edition 2003, Service Pack 2, Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, 8.00 GB of RAM

I forgot to mention the texture export is set to 4096x4096

You didn’t have a Layer set to ‘Record’ did you ?

Hi there, I have the same problem, here my specs:

MacPro Eight core, 8GB Ram, System OSX 10.5.8

The model has only 408576 polys, the size of the texture is 2048 x 2048, 32
