nerveinks animal anatomy

hello again everyone!!! im starting a new thread where I will study the anatomy of animals!! this is my first creature Ive worked on thats actually from planet earth. to make this I used the generic head model which you can find on the zbrush site… this took about 4 hours and did not use any alphas. ( for some reason I dont really like using alphas much) I hope to someday work for a video game co, that dream really pushes me to do the best I can.

I also dream of working at a video game corp. or an animation studio
but i’ve to work harder now on my modeling skills. Before i did just realflow simulations and stuff in cinema 4D

really nice work!

this is my final render for this project//// I used photoshop to add a depth of feild effect and cleared up some of the pixels.ZBrush-Document34.jpg

Hi.
I like the King Kong face, looks close to the Miles Teves sculpture original. But I think that the wrinkle looks too sharp. They would have to be made more rounded and fleshy.
Arturo

i used a photo of the king kong face as reference. I took your advice and smoothed some stuff out to try and make look a bit more realistic.

Will you be studying elephant, bird, dog and and cat body anatomy? That would be really cool! I haven’t had much expereince with animal anatomy besides drawing an atmospheric line drawing of a cat skeleton. Loved to know how the muscles work. I assume they are similar to human somewhat.

Well, I like Copola use to say if you have to copy copy from the bests ones. And Miles it is one of them.
So never is bad make that, more over the overall looks pretty close so thats so good.
I would make few tests with the inflat, and smooth brushes.
Good luck,
Arturo

yeah if Im gonna reference heavily its best to refrence from the best.
I dont really like to use the inflat brush to much as it tends to stretch things out. I try to leave the inflate as a last resort.
