I bought an Australian Magazine today called ITgraphics and it has a full 30 day trial version of Painter 7 on it but when I went to install it I keep getting an error message saying I already have it installed on my system and won’t let me go any further. I have never bought Painter 7 or any other version of it(lack of money) so I don’t know how I have it on my system.I have searched both hard drives and I can’t find what (what the set up can) anywhere.
Does any one have a clue how I can fix this problem(preferably without having to clean my system and reinstalling every thing) or has any one else had this problem???
Don’t have a clue syco but perhaps you might try Painter 7 website and check out the support pages and I bet they have forums where you would have a better chance of getting this question answered.
I’m using the painter 7 demo since about 2 weeks. I was able to reinstall it following a problem with my brush files that somehow got corrupted.
My demo comes from the british magazine Computer Arts so maybe there is a problem with the one you have??
I’d say the best place to ask this question would be the painter forum on critical-depth. The official site isn’t very helpful.
BTW, I think Painter 7 is an awesome soft and I have ordered the full-version. So don’t give up trying to get that demo working, it’s worth the trouble.
I have figured out what the prob was - DAH stupid me - It says in the fine print it is for ‘OSX’ only.So I think I’m stuffed because I don’t think I have it.O’well leason learned - read before you buy!!!

Allow me to bust my guts laughing. Painter is Corel. Support for their programs is less than non existent. Corel is so crap that they even rebranded all their stuff Procreate. Funnily enough you really need support for painter because it is the buggiest program in existence. I’ve had P6
for a couple of years and I’m still discovering new bugs. I recently discovered a bug which doesn’t allow you to resize your artwork. Amazingly enough the bug is still there in P7.
