Need Help with Normals in Zbrush (Invisible Faces)

Well my basic problem is once I import a .OBJ file into Zbrush from Maya, I notice I cant see the inside of my ‘mouth’ model. In fact they appear(faces) invisible from all angles once in Zbrush. I think it has something to do with the normals, but I checked the way the normals were facing in Maya and they were all pointing in the right direction, so Im really confused on this one. Here are some screenshots…

Please let me know whats up!

I haven’t used maya since the 6th version

Its probably the export option in Maya … (ie) groups, uniform and what not … just before you save your obj look for the right setting

Im only guessing

Yes, I thought that too but I checked the Export Options and all is right and checked off, ie grouping, point groups, normals, etcc… still doesnt work

In the Display Properties rollout (right above the geometry rollout) either click Double to turn on double sided face display or flip to flip the normals… I’ve run into this fairly often, even with models I export from and re-import into Zbrush.

It’s possible once you export from Zbrush, the normals will need to be repaired or regenerated in Maya. I’ve only heard that it may have something to do with how Zbrush handles vertex normals.
