So I’m still fairly new to modelling, but I feel I’m making real progress. However I just want to understand the whole process of modeling and texturing:
As I understand, you start with a sculpt, work it up from low poly to high poly, this is where you create the full final design you want.
So If I’m correct, the idea is to bake the different maps from the high poly model to the low poly model, because you don’t want a high poly model for use in game.
Now how does one go about creating all these different maps, I tried looking online, but its difficult to find tutorials on the specific programs that I have access to (Zbrush, Substance Painter, Maya)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
