I created an InsertMesh brush, used it in my project, but did NOT save the brush separately.
Is it possible to find that InsertMesh brush and use it in a different project?

Unfortunately, no. Brush information is not saved in project files. In the future be sure to save a copy of your Brush to Lightbox, so you can quickly recall it on demand.
