hey, it seems to me you have a ways to go. your basic shape looks decent but the top of the head seems a bit wide in relation to the jaw. for the mouth i have found it easiest to start by zsub-ing into the mouth area and then drawing in the lips later.

Looks like a good start, the mouth looks okay too.
Search for “3D Buzz” Zbrush tutorials on youtube and you will find a head tutorial.

hye isak take a look to this zscript, two ways…

hey guys, have already looked on that tutorial found it today:P

andreseloy: hello and thx for the script it really looks good but i am afraid i dont know much about scripts is where a way to slow down the script so i can study it some easier=)?

take care

Hi,

Nice start mate. Got the form of the head happening well.
When it comes to creating mouths I suggest using the masking tool to create one lip at a time (ctrl click on object to draw a mask on). I’m not all that experienced with zbrush myself, but so far masking has helped alot. Just keep watching tutorials.

Cheers,

Siah

before run the zscript press show actions and notes in the zscript panel

hello everyone and thnx for the c&c

Siah: i have tried mask but it just dont work for me on the lips:(…but i will continue to trie hope i will succeed=)

andreseloy: thanks for the tip=)…this with lips was a hard thing to do i think but i will work on it more, its a litte hard without a pen to, but will trie anyway=)

thanks again=)

That’s odd that the mask didn’t work for you. What is your subdivision level? Don’t try to put too much detail in too soon. Sometimes i find it easier to pull a mound out from where the mouth should be then detail it later, on a higher subdivision level.
I suggest that you get a drawing tablet. For me it’s made a world of difference.

Have you tried making an alpha from a photo of lips and then use that.
I made an ear alpha and it worked ok. The only thing is that the poly count has to be pretty high for it to show good results.

If someone is interested here is the ear alpha that i made.

siah: yeah i have been thinking of buying one but i just to this on my free time so not professional=)…which one do you got:)?

-Caniac-: does it really work to have an alpha of an ear:O or lips? will look in to it=)

CainiaC: can you show me how to make an alpha like yours?
Thanks in advance
Andreseloy

andreseloy…

I was afraid someone might ask that:).
My problem is that when I work I don’t pay that much attention to what I’m doing.

I tried to remeber all the steps I used so here is a zip file that includes a little step by step tuto.

It might take some time to achieve that smoothnes that you can see in the ear alpha i posted but at least this tuto gives you the general idea of the techniques I used.

CainiaC many thanks you are very kind!
Look your help is wonderful, just imagine that with this appropiate setting for make good alpha then you can make your own brush like the Eye Brush default tool in Z3!

It’s great if that little tutorial was helpful.
