Nanomesh - Zbrush to Maya Workflow

Hi,

This is a screenshot of a Jumper i created in zbrush using Nanomesh and fibermesh.
The resulting geometry for the jumper is about 10million polygons.

Does anyone know a better workflow to create something like this with a lower polycount, or a workflow to transfer this effect to Maya, possibly in the form of a Displacement map?
