Nanomesh Issue

Hello,

I cannot sort it out, I followed a tute about nanomesh, and I am experiencing awful results, and tried everything, I think.

I am including pictures so please take a look.

I have that cloth that I want to apply nanomesh to… Zremeshed the cloth and the cube (nano) works almost fine, at least on every polygon through Zmodeler brush. However when I create a specific mesh as a nano, it works fine on a plane but not on my cloth! Seems like it is spread randomly all over the place. I dont know why… Sitting here, deleted everything started again and again and no way, doesn’t work, same thing… Can you help me understand?

Thanks!

You should press some of the options on the alignment section. From what I can see you have chosen “no alignment” on the cloth. Also try “fill”

Hey, thanks, I have tried that and they align differently, but still not each and every polygon (face) is filled, but random, I suspect it is too high topology,
but then Zbrush would crash? I still don’t know, but I created my texture another way - sculpting it instead

@Cherry_cola: It appears that you are reaching the polygon limit for your machine that a single nanomesh index can hold. Here is an #AskZBrush video for you:

Let me know if that helps =)

Hey! Thank so much, I have finally understood that! Brilliant video, yes, it did help, problem sorted  I, too, have a limit of 40 m when it comes to nanomesh
