Stupid jerks - unfortunately, it seems inevitable on the internet. Besides people that just blatantly stick their names on other peoples’ works as Darkwulf did to your work, there are also way too many people who think copying another work of art makes them worthy of sticking their own name on it. I have had numerous artist friends that did that and thought they were doing nothing wrong till I lectured them about a concept known as ethics and right and wrong, but I don’t think I got through to them.
well I wrote an email to AvP site…here it is…hope it wasnt too outta line,Glen…the image http://www.planetavp.com/images/2-DarkWulf.jpg was done by Glen Southerns in Zbrush and does not belong to the Darkwulf person nor did they have permission to use it as their own…Please remove the image or rename it as Glen Southerns…Glen can be reached at [email protected]
I hate to see thievery of images on the net. Glen is a professional and has a huge following on the net. Please either acknowledge who the image belongs to or remove it.

Well Glen, goes to show you…I had a converse with El-Pix last week about this very subject…His position on this forum was that plagerism was a kind of ‘flattery’…It was during that fiasco last week with the ‘BRYCE’ guy…I wrote him a PM, informing him of my opinion…That it is theft and nothing more, after he mentioned your name…
His comment was that you had offered your work for ‘people to do what they wanted with it…’ At that time, I sugggested offering a model, for use, with credit given to the original artist, was not the same as saying, ‘Hey, take this piece, put your name on it, and call it your own!’
I guess there are more unethical people out there who think you should be flattered! :mad:

Right click and image on my site and you get the copyright glen southern popup. So what. Just screen grab it, crop it and save it to your hard drive. We all do it.
Any of my work can be taken from the web with or without permission and there is nothing I can do about it and to be honest, I am flattered.
The problem is it takes time to produce our images and we get so little in the way of cash return. I get really pissed at liars and frauds who claim to have talent by nicking work.
All I want in return for the unlimited use of my work anywhere by anyone is the recognition that the work was mine. No more, no less. Fraud is Fraud. It would be so easy to make up a portfolio of stolen images and get work by telling clients you can produce to that level.

Anyhoo. I have 9 saved stages of the Alien image so I can prove ownership (As I do with all images).
AND…maybe the copyright should be with H R Giger anyway so maybe I am the fraud all along??? But then again they didn`t even credit it him in a couple of the films did they so I bet he was pretty pissed as well 
Arg this makes me angy. You’re images are almost holy in my opinion… That someone feels like they have the right to steal it is awful. :mad:

its still up - strange site! the two others submitted (well, i found only the two nearby) by this ©infringement “artist” do not come up to your interpretation of HRGs alien by far, but i guess they are stolen, too. so one cant even assume that darkwulf has a consistent good taste at least.
burning in hell as suggested by St. Digits might be troublesome, though, as i guess the flames have to deal with nothing but an anthropomorphic fart which might get pretty explosive when barbecued

my sentiments exactly…well one of the links I sent the mail to was sent back as undeliverable…ie the grab bag mail…but I sent to all of the other links they gave…Hansl, you about made me choke on my cigarette…that was too funny…but it’s obivious that the AvP site isnt well monitored like ZBC is…coz if ZuZu had been moderating their site, that pic would have been down within minutes…wink wink…
