Mr.Micro: Thanks! I’m glad you like the modeling. The last one is my favorite too.
ZZagno: Thank you, though the proportions are quite exaggerated. Especially the cranium. My original version of this guy was called “The Cranium” He was a generic superhero I was playing with. I still might go somewhere with that one. I was playing with helmet design with the move tool and that’s how the bat ears evolved. I liked the batman look and ran with it.
Drums: Thanks, my Brother…
Always a pleasure to hear from you. Say Hi to Viv…
Mario: Whenever I do a character with exaggerated features, I always think of you, Bro…
Your work is an inspiration to ME, so I say thank you…
Pinkarman: Yeah, the ears are rather extreme, aren’t they…
Thanks for the feed back…
MrPeculiar: (Great name, BTW) Thank you for your crits. I agree about the mask line. It’s actually painted AND modeled and that is presicely the problem. I think that to fix it, I’ll add a “rim” around the mask/face interface, kind of like a lip where it’s rolled up a little. As for the mask covering the nose, I played with this idea, but I liked the nose exposed, visually and functionally. I originally had the ears exposed, but I liked how they looked covered by the mask…
MM: I take that a a compliment, Bro…
It’s funny, but even 25 years ago, I always drew my characters with big brows and lantern jaws. They just look funny that way and I ended up using them in my 3-D work also…
I’m going to go play with the lip idea on the mask now. I post some updates later. Thank you all again for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it, as it’s good inspiration for me…
