My First Post

These forums are fantastic. I have been reading everyone’s posts for a few weeks now and this is by far the friendliest site on the net

This is my first Zbrush attempt. It was made for an assignment for my Graphic Design class. We could only use the deformation’s/initalize palette. I am having a hard time figuring out how to make cast shadows…but I will figure it out eventually. hehe

Thanks for the good reading material everyone… ~ Dave

looks cool… well done.

If you don’t mind me asking, what school are you going to that offers instruction with zbrush in the class?

Thanks a lot., It’s a start eh hehe

I attend Fanshawe College in London Ontario. Im in the last semester of the 3rd and final year. I wish we had started in on the Zbrush earlier though…only started it a few weeks ago. I learn more from these forums than school however… I pretty much am attending for the girls… hehe ., Take care.

This is a great first try! I wish my first attempts were this good! The legs are super impressive!

Congratulations, welcome, and luck with many more.
Good luck with the girls at school!!!

Welcome Fellow Canuk!- and you are right we do have a great forum here! I am impressed with Fanshaw, someone there is really on the ball, using ZBrush… too cool! And great job on your first post. (although I don’t personally like bloody things, your work is good).

:+1:

Hi Dave,

Very nice work! Welcome to the ZBC roundtable.

I’m curious. Can you tell a little about the class on ZBrush? does the course focus exclusively on ZBrush or on several different 3d packages? How long does the course run and how big is the class? Assuming you work in some kind of computer lab for the course, is ZBrush installed on all the machines?

Do you know what future assignments you might have for ZBrush? Does the instructor use ZBrush in commercial production?

Geeze, I’m nosy, huh?

Sven

I’m curious because I haven’t seen ZBrush offered in any of the schools here in NYC yet.
