muti map exporter 'merge maps' not working

Hi, I am trying to export out my displacement maps for a character im working on and for some reason Zbrush refuses to merge all my subtool maps. I have multiple subtool UV maps on a single UDIM space. I cant seem to find any fix for it online so I thought I would ask here.

(I should also note that the option for subtools and merge maps are both enabled)

MME should merge the maps providing:

  1. The UV space is the same. The map file names will show if this is the case.
  2. The map size is the same. Setting the map size in MME will ensure this.
  3. The UVs don’t extend to the corner pixel of the map. UVs that extend right to the very edge or over the edge will cause problems.

If you’d like me to take a look at the model to try and find what’s wrong then upload to Dropbox or somewhere.

Thanks for the reply, Ive been over all the UVs very carefully and none of them are crossing over the UDIM tiles.

Looking at the file names for some reason there are random decimal values being output, they seem to vary from file to file, could this be related to why they aren’t merging?

Are you sure you’re checking in the right location for the files you’re exporting? The reason I ask is that in your settings the map size is set to 4096 but in the file names the map size is 1024.

The decimal number is the displacement intensity and varies because you haven’t used the 16 bit Scale displacement option. But the decimal doesn’t affect the map merge.

Apart from that there’s nothing obviously wrong with what you show and I would need to have something to test to find the problem.
