Music you Zbrush too

Sooo ummmm for this being a not Zbrush thread it sure has a lot of stuff relating to it lol.
Anyone here play an instrument? I play drums and guitar, guitar a little bit better than the drums. Although I sorta think drums comes more natural.
Also, what type of music you guys listen too? I’ll listen to anything rock as long as it’s not really slow or anything.

I just spotted this thread and noticed there’s not been a single reply.

Maybe you should have worded the title something like…
‘What Music Do You ZBrush to?’

Anyway, yes, I play an instrument - the keyboard.

I keep looking at electric guitars though, now and then, and wonder if I should give it a try. I have to admit that those weird-looking ones with the head chopped off look quite neat. Thing is, I know nothing about them and wouldn’t really know what to look for in a good guitar.

Drums… helps me weed out the stresses of the day and break a nice sweat, yumm

I create noise in Live6… it lead to this a while ago:

Re: Drums… I procured a trigger finger lately and am having fun with that. But with that, only the rodents in a mile diameter break out into a sweat 8).

Hehe, nice beat Lemo!
A lot of drum and guitar players in Zbrush land. Me, I’m a classical music guy. Started with clarinet, turned to singing and eventually became a conductor. Right now I’m making film music in Cakewalk for a hobby project. Never done that before, so it’s interesting to see what works and what not.

I play keyboard, piano. I started playing by ear when I was 5 years old. Iv been playing ever since, self taut. I progressed over the years and built up a small home studio for producing electronic music athought I like all types of music. I like acoustic music, solo piano e.c.t too so have a general apreciation for all music

…anything in this crazzy site Jamendo
All is new inside and “Creative Commons” so you can listen, load, share! :+1:

Ps Groboto seems rocks for geometric creation animation :grimacing:

I bet a lot of Zbrushers play music. Here’s a couple of experiments I did with
instruments that were thrown in the trash bin. I play these more than the custom built ones I have. One for slide , one standard. A Danish Butternut cookie tin and a Quarterman resonator…bliss!

I’ve been teaching myself guitar for the past couple of years…not great progress but I still enjoy playing what I have learned. It’s hard to teach myself because I can’t ask any questions or get feedback, but lessons are very expensive on my budget and no one I know plays. I’ve also dabbled with learning piano (keyboard), which has helped a bit with the guitar.

One What a relaxation!
Two (more classic) What a technic!

@lemonnado
Hey there fellow Ableton user - Live rocks :+1:

When I make noise in ‘Live’, that’s all it is unfortunately - just noise 'cause I use it as a test-bed for developing VST software. I’m putting an album together though, just for the fun of it.

@pride
Those customs look great, and I think they’d look amazing in gloss-black with chrome-plated “Danish Butternut cookie tin’s” :sunglasses:

Haven’t had a computer in like a week >.<
Guitar isn’t too hard to self teach if you get a self teaching book. Then from there you print out tablature online for the songs you like to play. After a bit you finally start to develop your own style. Personally I’m still trying to develop the style part lol. I like to play rock guitar, sometimes metal.

I’m going to buy a double-kick pedal for drums next, which is pretty much a standard for metal style music. And yes I would rather play metal music with drums because of the in your face action.

But as for everything you can’t truly master it until you have a teacher. A nice alternative until you can get one is self-teaching books like I said above.

Nice stuff guys .

I’m jealous of the nice acoustic guitars. I have my PRS standard I like to strum on.
For PC , I like to use Ableton Live , Sony Acid , Reason , Reaktor , FLStudio , and any other toys I can get my dirty paws on ( Come on Native Instruments send me KORE !!?? heheh ). I have a Evolution MK361c to bash on ( its my baby ).
Also packing a crappy old Numark turntable and Behrenger mixer I like to beat the S&^t out of whenever I can.

My music is kinda like dirty instrumental hip hop glitchy weirdness .

Great to see so many music lovers also using Zbrush

best wishes,
essclock

That totally threw me off until I read the last sentence lol

I’m a drummer too … I play in a band “Camelot” … Cool guitars …

I was listening to a classical web station a month or so ago, and heard Rene Gruss for the first time. Being as un-hip as I am, Im sure everyone else has already heard of him. But I bought his album, and found it really great for zbrushing, when I want to relax and focus. He does composes accesible, but striking, “neo classical” string, piano, and guitar arrangements. Anyone who likes to listen to classical music as they work should defintely check it out. Though someone should tell him that artists shouldnt write their own self-promo copy in the first person.

Beyond that I tend to listen to much more contemporary indie selections (like the new Blonde Redhead album, which is 14 kinds of awesome), too eclectic and scattered to make any sense of here.

Prog Rock, melodic metal and shred-tastic guitarists. I load up the old multi-changer cd player with Kamelot, Pagan’s Mind, Within Temptation, Spock’s Beard, Dream Theater, Paul Gilbert, Sonata Arctica, Devin Townsend, Threshold, John5, little Stevie Vai and a supporting cast of many others, and I’m good to brush into the wee small hours. Oh yeah, and current favourites … Vanden Plas.

I’ve been playing drums since like 13, 21 right now.

I play constantly, that and zbrush, and sometimes WoW. lol.
Should be playing some live shows w/ my band soon.
