Mursi tribe man Bust

Hey Guys

Here is a bust that I am trying my hand with zbrush. I am still learning the rope in zbrush, plus figuring out sculpting and anatomy as I go. I know it still needs alot of work and is quite noobish, but please have a look and let me know what you think, and any crits and advice are more than welcome.

No crits or advice?

Nope.
You’re doing great so far.
Keep working on it.

Thanks man! will keep up the work! Just need to find the time…

Here is a quick doodle i did quick. Used the base mesh from a program called make Human, really cool. Just a quick mess about to learn the different tool and what I can do with them.

Just to Note, the black and white Image in the first post is a photo that I am trying to match. Its isnt my final render… just incase there was any confusion.

Hey guys

Still haven’t been able to work on the Mursi tribe man, another late night at the office in case of any work related problems. But it did give me a chance to do some more tests in Zbrush. Here is a doodle that I did, still experiment with the tools to get wrinkles and a nice texture to the skin. Learnt quite a bit on this one.

Here’s a wee update, just some tweaks to the face and adding some texture to the skin to get a feeling for it. Also I had to make a change to the model, so I exported out the low res mesh, did the chage[Some merged vertices at the lips],
Now is there any way I can transfer the detail that I have on the mesh now to the new fixed mesh?

Thanks

Here is a bit of an update, here is a few more hours work, just feeling the shapes out and getting the texture of the skin right. Figure out a way to do all the wrinkles, they are not the best but not bad for my first attempt at hand painted wrinkles…
Almost time for texturing and lighting!
Any thoughts from you kind people out there?

Still going strong. Keep it up.

Pro4210: Thanks man!

I think I have taken this model as far as I can for the moment. Now on to texturing and then lighting and shading in maya. Now all i Need to do is brush up on my texturing and figure out how to do it in zbrush.
