Hey all,
So I’ve been sculpting in ZBrush for a number of years now, but I am ony now beginning to delve into the more advanced tools and features of it. I’m more traditionally minded, so it took until now to reort to rigging and posing to make my life way easier and my sculpts more accurate.
I am trying to discover the proper workflow relationships between Transpose Master and Layers and Rigs. I believe I have the process down as far as creating multiple poses on multiple layers and transferring them back to the subtools. I just have some questions about minor details.
1) my major question here is - can you have a ZBrush Project with multiple different rigs and different subtools? The Tool Palette is a bit confusing in this regard as well in terms of what tools are loaded and which things correspond with which. This is for 2 scenarios - posing multiple figures together for functionality, AND if I have a figure with 2 very different and dynamic parts (like a fox with 9 tails, and I want to control the tails separately)
___ These are secondary but still important questions which will help me out a LOT. Thanks to anyone reading/responding!

If you want to adjust a rig during the posing process (while recording a layer for a new pose) can you just unbind the mesh, adjust, then re-bind without causing an issue?
-
Can you preview, sculpt on the preview of the pose (adaptive skin), then return to posing and continue working as you would normally? I get a popup I don’t quite understand, and I’m worried if I select the wrong option, it’s going to cause an issue I can’t undo.
3B) Or, do I want to pose, transfer the pose back to a new layer on the Subtool side, and then record my edits on THAT layer? -
If somehow I forgot to hit record and I’m almost done with a pose - am I screwed? lol
Thanks again to anyone willing to help a ditz such as myself lol.
