multi-multi-markers?

i still didn’t quite understand this, let’s assumei place 3 objects on my scene, setting a marker for each, re-create the 3 objs via a multi-marker … and then continue placing markers, i’ll end up with a pile of objs, consisting of all the markers, i’ve set … but then, if i delet the markers i’ve set, of course all the info is gone and i start from scratch, when setting markers.

so, is there any way to keep multiple groups of objects at an editable state? or is there only one multi-marker object possible, at a time and you must make a polymesh at the end of the process, if you want to place fresh markers?

seems to me, that’s the hardest part about Z (which got me totally addicted within a week, btw  )

I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for, but in the MultiMarker’s Tool :small_orange_diamond:Modifiers palette there is a reposition button which will move the old markers to new positions after you’ve worked with them in MultiMarker mode.

Hmmmm … looks like you are right there el_pix. It looks as if you can only have one set of multi-marker combinations after deleating all the markers, regardless of how many multi-marker tools you have created (from non-zbrush native objects). If they are native ZBrush objects, just polymesh them together!

There’s only one workaround I can think of and that involves sending Pixolator a red Ferrari (like Magnum PI), … or … make another humble request in the MAKE A WISH thread …

Well I hope I understand what your after, i am soon to be exploring multi multi markers, it would seem that you can have variations within one document. For example join three circles together mark each one as you do so. Then select the multi marker tool draw that MM then manipulate the circles, by moving them appart you should notice that another MM appears in the tools pallete, I guese you will have to use the same objects per MM but you will be able to move them, I hope this is what you are after, I have enclosed a sample file.

thanks for your thoughts.
i guess i’m still thinking too much the usual 3d-way, wanting to keep my objects fully editable all the time
but when i look the complexity in the modeling of some pics posted here, all i can think is … HOW? … , if at some point ju must drop your models and thereafter vaguely attach the new ones, never knowing exactly where they go … well, too much MAX, i suppose
