Multi Map Exporter question

I’ve sculpted a simple model with one sub tool. I am trying to create a UV map with both tool/subtool UV sets on it. I did Unwrap All in UV Master and it created UVs for both tools, but only one will Flatten at a time. I tried Multi Map Exporter and it seemed to work, but the resulting .psd doesn’t appear in the default folder: ZExportImport, after saving.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

ZBrush R4.7
Windows 10

You can choose where Multi Map Exporter puts the files. The Save dialog you get when you press Create All Maps is for choosing the location, and the name you use will be the prefix for the files - their names will vary depending on what maps you are exporting.

With UV Master, you can only flatten one subtool at a time. You don’t need to flatten, it’s just a way of checking the UVs.

Thank you, Marcus! I will give this a try!

I tried to save the UV map and what I get is the ZExport/Import folder as the default folder. I saved it out with the same name as the tool to the desktop and no .psd file appears. The user and reference guides give very little information. Out of curiosity, can I get the same result by combining both maps in Photoshop?

I’d not appreciated you were trying to merge the maps. Combining the maps in Photoshop would be possible but it will only be of use if your UVs are combined and I don’t think you’ve not done this. It’s possible to do in ZBrush but not easy.

I’m puzzled as to why you’re not getting any files. What are your Multi Map Exporter settings? If you’ve got Merge Maps on then you should still get a merged map (but it won’t be much use because the parts will be on top of one another).

Can you post your model and I’ll take a look? (Save it as a ZTL from the Tool palette and then zip the file. If it’s not too large it should upload OK to ZBC.)

Hello Marcus! Thanks again for your help. Although I couldn’t get maps to appear as .psd they did show up when I saved them as .tiff. So I’m getting multiple maps! If you don’t mind helping with another riddle…
Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish: I’m making fairly simple objects in ZBrush, applying UVs with UV Master, making a texture map and then using GoZ to bring them up in DAZ Studio. So far, I’m extremely happy as I’m just exporting one part Tools and they look great. So I made a simple Tool and added a Sub-tool and used Polypaint to give them simple paint jobs, The .tiff maps were created in Multi Map Exporter. When I export to DAZ Studio, I only get one or the other of the subtools, never both. How can I export a model with sub-tools and have both parts come up in DAZ Studio? I reasoned that if the textures were all on one map, then I might get both Sub-tools, hence my original question.

Again, I appreciate your time on what must be a noobie question.
