Movie Export/Camera positions/render every 10°

HI
I am trying to render all my models for a demoreal. Therefore I wanted to render a 360° turntable. It works best in Zbrush but to lower the rendertime I used only 36frames. For the view it is sufficient, but by using 24fr/sec this 360° turntable is only 1,5 sec long. It is only possible to export the turntable as a mov. file, right? If I could get each picture/frame as a tga it would be great. I could increase the time in AE or so for each frame.

“why dont you render each frame itself?”
Yea, would be great, but therefore I cant controll the camerapositions.
How to render every 10°? And store the cam position for the lowpolyrender?

Thanks for any help!!!
Yours
Hilmar

Hi, I’m not sure exactly if this is what you meant, but under Movie Modifiers tab there is a setting called Snap Shot time which is essentially the amount of time to display each frame in the movie. Maybe that will help, instead of adjusting same time in after effects for each frame.

Otherwsie Im not exactly sure what u mean

I’m planning on adding image export to Turntable Plus in the very near future. In the meantime here is a fairly basic script that may help you out.

  1. Unzip and load the .zsc file using the ZScript palette Load button.
  2. Press ‘H’ on your keyboard so that the buttons will appear in the ZScript Window at the bottom of the UI.
  3. Set Spin Frames & Spin Cycles just as you would for the Movie palette. Turn on the Render HD switch if your model has HD Geometry.
  4. If you want a Best Render press ‘Best Render’ in the Render palette.
  5. Press the Render Movie button and enter a file name. Add the number of 00s you want (4 maximum) and file extension (bmp, tif or psd), for example ‘Image00.psd’. The turntable will then render to file.

Note that the axis is fixed to ‘Y’.

HTH,

Thanks a lot!
you both helped me out.

to solf the problem yersterday I abborted the turntable at every angle with esc and rendered it out by myself :o) You could imagine, it took me a long long time, but fixed the problem.
I am looking forward to your script marcus. Thanks in advance.
