Morphing / Capturing specific area detail from different Sub-tools?

Hi couldn’t easily find an answer for this so though I’d try here, but feel free to point me in the direction if the answer already exists.

I wondered if it was possible to morph specific mesh details between different sub tools? Similar to Morph Brush but not the whole mesh like with projection.

I ask as I would like to capture the detail of certain areas like the mouth and nose but not all of the mesh, as certain smoothed areas and the topology is as I would like to keep it on the target mesh.

Any insight, info from the web or hacks are greatly appreciated, and thanks in advanced for any solutions. :+1:

Hi @Refractor!

Well just to be clear here, you can partially transfer detail from one mesh to another with the normal projection process by simply masking the areas you don’t want to receive any projection data.

The ZProject Brush is a brush-based alternative for transferring detail between meshes, as are the XTractor brushes for surface detail.

If you want to transfer the sculpting information to the target mesh as a morph target, store a morph target on the target mesh first, and then project from the source mesh.

Ok, I’ll try these methods, and thank you for your prompt reply. :+1:
