Why does the Morph Edit Brush not work on detail painted with the Projection Master? How can I morph painted detail back on a higher SubD level?
The morph edit brush requires that a morph target be stored before it will be available. You do this by pressing Tool>Morph Target>StoreMT at the subdivision level that you will want to use the brush at.
After that, you can use ProjectionMaster or any other editing method to sculpt details. You’ll then see that the Morph brushes are available for use.
In short, the Morph brushes selectively restore parts of your mesh to a stored morph target. If you haven’t stored a morph target, the brush can’t work and so won’t be available.
I stored a morph target at subd levl 1. But when I paint at a higher level some detail I cannot see what I’m painting back because for the morph brush I have to go back to subd level 1. I’m missing something and there is a different workflow?
As I said, you must store your morph target at the level where you are going to be wanting to use the brush. ZBrush stores separate morph targets for each level, but only at the levels where you tell it to.
Ok, Thanks. I thought it will only work when I store it at SubD level 1.
