mojo

Here is a character I have been tinkering with off and on for a while.
I made my own version based off a combo of the Xmen Mojo toy and some comic illustrations. Fell in love with the character when my friend gave me the toy.

Perhaps the main frame he sits on should be bigger or deeper? Legs should be longer? Better renders coming soon. (Mental ray crashes on me I have to do Zbrush renders for now, too many pieces!)

Sorry for all the pics just want to show alot of angles for critique.

Comments and Critiques welcome…

Darrell

looking good darrell. I might consider reinforcing the robot legs- they seem thin for all that weight (but they are metal- and this is based on a comic design- so your call). Also- mouth interior- I would put some time into making the details on tongue and mouth bag refined- there should be more attention here then normal. The mouth in most designs has wires on both sides- suggesting his smile is forced- not a big deal if you like the asymmetry ypu have. Finally- in most designs I see for mojo- his eyes are fully exposed- the lids pulled back by the wiring. On you model- the wires around the eyes could use more tension and the eyes could be opened wider. Get a texture and a pose and it will be awesome.

Fantastic!!!

Looks good! Agree about the legs looking a bit thin.

will you texture him and turn him into a game mesh ?

looking gd.

Craig - thanks for the input my man. I agree on all counts. next update will include some more stable leg designs.

At this time I do plan on texturing him or my friend Joe might have a run at it. But for now im just focused on getting this model done!
