Modeling and exporting Clothes for Poser Characters (comforming clothes)

Hi,
as a beginner I’m learning how to make conforming clothes for Poser characters using Zbrush, 3ds Max and Poser, the final output, render, etc, will be done in Poser.
I’m going to make a very easy example just to ask my questions and learn, thanks!
In Zbrush I import Victoria 4, troguh the extract command I use her body to generate a simple clothes, let call it wetsuit.

As you can see in the photo the wetsuit is made by 2 tools, the wetsuit it self (2 red arrow), the pink stripe (1 red arrow) that hold the zipper that I dont show to keep things easier.
Still in Zbrush, once I generate all the needed textures, etc I must export my tools to 3DS Max (or any other modeller) to assigne polygon regions, the wetsuit has one texture the pink stripe another one.
I must export the wetsuit and the stripe as 2 separate tools or as a merged one?
Generally speaking, could you be so kind, explain to me to this point on what I have to do?
In 3DS Max I must assigne polygon regions cause the wetsuit has one texture, the stripe another one, I do that trough Multi sub object materials, once done I must export again to group editor application, with Victoria 4 as a base I must assigne polygon groups to my wetsuit cause, once in Poser I must conform it.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Lannabulls,

As far as exporting, I would merge the tools and then export since it’s just a zipper. If it was something more significant, then I would do separate objects.
There is no need to assign groups in 3DS Max - you can do it in Poser with Wardrobe Wizard that’s included with Poser 9 and up.

If you don’t have to use Poser, it is a lot easier to make clothes in Daz Studio for Genesis or Genesis 2.

Thanks a lot 3DLust for your help, really apreciated!
You just said that is much more easier make clothes in Daz Studio than Poser,
what do you mean? Are you talking about the same work around, Zbrush to Daz Studio, replacing Poser with Daz Studio?
Could you explain generally and briefly why?

Then you just said:“There is no need to assign groups in 3DS Max - you can do it in Poser with Wardrobe Wizard that’s included with Poser 9 and up.”
Sorry in case I’m going to make a little confusion, as you can understand I’m a total beginner:
Once my clothes, my wetsuit is done in Zbrush, I export it with all the textures and I import to Poser.
Once here I go to setup room I do conforming trough a blank cr2, my Poser is Pro 2012, so I can do grouping with the automatic, autogrouping feature referring to blank cr2 grouping and my clothes is now conformed (solve problem in joint editor, poke trough, etc, if any).
Following now what you just said and I paste above, now the wetsuit is conforming, is time to assigne textures so My wetsuit is a merged unique object made by 2 separated geometries, the wetsuit and the stripe, and it has a unique material area, it is a unique polygroup.
I can assigne the polygon areas that are going to hold the texture, one for the wetsuit, one for the stripe, directly in Poser, do not need from Zbrush go to Max as I wrongly intended. I can do that with Guardrobe wizzard that I must learn about, I know it allows a clothes made for Victoria 4 as example to be worn by another Poser character, I don’t know anything else about, I’m going to learn about.
Do I understood well, the above mentioned is generally speaking the right work around, at list one of the possible one?
thanks!
