Missing Export button in Movie Palette

I sent this to support as well on Saturday, but I’m running short on time and I thought the forums might be helpful.

I need to record turntables of several characters that I have been working on for a class. When I open the movie palette, I can record and delete movies, but I cannot export them. I know where the button should be, but there is nothing there and the “Play Movie” button extends the full width of the frame. I have attached an image of how the palette appears.

I thought that it may have been a bad install, I backed up and deleted the 3.2 folder and reinstalled it with no change.

Thinking that it may have to do with the version of Quicktime I have, I have Quicktime 7.6.4 installed, as well as a variety of different codecs.

Is this an issue of a missing script or a bad install? Can I have this fixed by Monday?

I need to have these turntables finished by midnight PST Monday(Dec. 14, 2009).

I know this sounds ridiculous but there has been no movie export option in any of the ZBrush 3.xx mac versions. The only way to record a turntable movie is to use a third part screen capture program. If you run OSX 10.6, you can do this with Quicktime X, otherwise you need to use Jing, Screenflow, iShowU etc.

Wow, that is surprising. I’ve just assumed up to this point that I had a bad install.

So to record the turntable, I have to record the turntable through, then setup the screen capture program and play the turntable back?

Thanks, I guess I’ll be picking up and learning a new screen capture software today!

You could try the Turntable Plus plugin from the download centre. I believe this is able to output an image sequence you can then load into quicktime.

As Richard Marklew says, your best option is to use the Turntable Plus plugin, available from the Download Center, and use Quicktime Pro to load in the image sequence.

Thanks for the help.

I’ve added turntable plus, and I’ll give it a try.
