Hello @111970 ,
I can’t immediately tell you how you arrived in this exact scenario by which the Mirror & Weld options are visible but not active. In a normal process when working with an active ZSphere tool they shouldn’t be visible at all. If working with a Skin, even if it had multiple subdivision levels the options would not be greyed out, but it would inform you that the operation can’t complete.
However, in order to use Mirror and Weld you must first create an adaptive Skin from the Adaptive Skin preview. The mannequins are ZSphere tools and this operation cannot be applied to a Live ZSphere Tool even if it is in Adaptive preview mode.
So you must first use the Adaptive Skin > “Make Adaptive Skin” function to create a new version of the mesh based on the Adaptive skin preview settings. This will create an entirely new “Skin” mesh in the Tool palette. You may optionally wish to reduce the Dynamesh slider in the Adaptive Skin menu to zero for cleaner topology, and you may wish to limit the density settings to 1. You can create the mesh with multiple subdivision levels but will need to delete them in order to use Mirror and Weld.
Select the newly created Skin mesh in the tool palette, and use Mirror and Weld on this version of the mesh. It will not work with multiple subdivision levels.
Good luck!
