MeshProject - is there a way to make it extrude inwards, instead of outwards?

Is there a way when using MeshProject to make it go inwards, instead of extruding outwards?

In my workflow, I sketch a lot on a big part and later split elements off when needed.
If I use ZRemesher I can use the elevation slider in PanelLoops to go inwards (-100) as I have already established my forms/shapes in my block-out, so don’t want to affect those shapes if I can avoid it.

Thanks!

Hello @PatrickvanR

Not directly. However, if Live Boolean mode is active, you can create a new subtractive Live Boolean subtool by holding down alt when completing the stroke. This advanced functionality is described here:

Depending on the situation, for a more interactive experience, Thickskin may be a better fit:

With thickskin you can paint in either additive or subtractive fashion to a specified depth. However, to get the best results you will probably need a multi-res mesh with multiple subdivision levels.

Good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:
