Hey! im trying to export my geometry at subD level 3 into mari for texturing, I need hard UV edges and smoothed internal UVs so that the texture I paint in mari (on the level 3 exported mesh) will match up with the base mesh subdividing at render time. (this method also seems to have the least distortion for textures) however I am having some issues. I need to export the mesh out with hard UV boarder edges and smooth internal UVs. But when I check on Suv, then ReUV, then export the mesh at subdivision 3, zbrush gives me some funky results. Some UV boarder edges stay hard while other boarder edges are smoothed. I hear a lot of people dont smooth their UVs but linear UVs tend to cause really bad distortion on textures especially on sudD geo I have found. If anyone could shed some light on the correct workflow of exporting high res meshes into mari from ZB id be really greatful. Heres an image of what I mean.
