Merging two sides of a coin

Hello
I’m working on a coin design, and had to work on the two sides separately in Cinema4d as I was using Height maps to create geometry.
I imported both sides of the coin in Zbrush, and want to connect them but give them some thickness.
The coins are not perfect circles, they have some irregularities.

I tried using a cylinder than I sandwiched between the two coins, but it didn’t feel like the right approach. I thought about doing some kind of extrusion of one side to the other, but my knowledge of Zmodeler has left me stuck.

Any suggestions on a good strategy for this?

Thanks!

Hi @Ouranos

Try the CurveBridge brush to join both halves together. See the following video.

Thanks I was just looking at that!
But can’t seem to make it work with this type of scenario

What would be a good way to select the whole loop around each subtool? Was just trying with Zmodeler but no luck

You have to merge both halves together first so they are one subtool before you can use the CurveBridge brush.

Amazing! That worked. Thanks a lot!

You’re welcome! No problem! :+1:

You can also use close mesh and qmesh on polygroup all

Hope it help!
