Maya imports obj in pieces!

I import my obj into maya and click to select my model and random pieces are selected. not the whole mesh, it’s like it’s been broken into pieces. Also the texture is all over the place (and yes i flipped the uv’s) . It seems like the bigger the model the more this happens.

Please help!

try using the export menu instead of just the export button

tools>export then make sure quads, txr, merg are on and grps off

or (you could save your model first) just go to tools>polygroups (make sure all parts are visible) and click group visible…that way the mesh becomes one group then export.

Is this possible with zBrushCore? I cannot find any merg or groups option under export.
