I did a test re exporting my mesh to Max to pose my character then reimport into ZB to re-export the Hiress version, as describe n ths post
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?p=172775#post172775

Untl now I always thougth that was the export plugin that kills my uvs, but not, the texture is placed as it should but the dsplacement effect is ugly???
[probdisplace.jpg](javascript:zb_insimg(‘1235’,‘probdisplace.jpg’,1,0))

They should use the same textures coordinates right?

The solution found is to delete the subdivisions.

resubdivde
mport the dsplace map from the alpha palette and re apply the displacement with apply DispMap

Having the same problem here.
Minor mesh corrections in max.
Import new object (revised) into ZB2
Apply GUV to obj
Import from Alpha palette, old displacement
Dont see apply DispMap in that palette or anywhere else in ZB

Is that a button on the older ZB version?
Thanx Kanga

this button is in the displacement rollout
under le line intensity mid mod, it’s grey out until you enter a value in the intensity field (use very small value)

Thanyou Junk!

Greetings Kanga

Hey Junk did you get it to work?

When I import an object my mapping is screwed up and reapplying the displacent alpha wont work.

It’s working for me.
You don’t need to generate uv again.
Make sure you flipped the texture vertically.

Try to import the new “posed” model at the level 1 your zbrush tool.
mapping is preserved, then delet the higher subdivisions and apply the displace from the alpha palette+apply DispMap

Thanx again Junk.
