Material Baker script problem

Hi I have a problem with the material baker script. It seems to reset the lighting to comming from the “top” of the screen, even if i put the lights on the bottom before running the script. I need the lights on the bottom because my model is naturally “upside down”. Does anyone know how i can set the lights to the bottom?

Thanks.

I don’t have time to see about changing the lighting, but there is another option that may work for you.

In the Preview section of the Tool Pallet you can “flip” your model upside down. I know that would work. Then when you’re done baking your material, just flip it back.

Thanks for the suggestion unfortunately that doesnt seem to be work, the model defaults to upside down :(.

Rotate it in the Tool>Preview so that it’s upside down and then press Store. Without pressing Store, all you’ve done is change the orientation at which deformations would be applied. It doesn’t affect how the model will be drawn on the canvas.

I forgot to say that. My fault. I do it so often I didn’t think about all the steps involved. Sorry.

Ah gotcha, didnt press the store button.

Thanks.

its great when it works, but usually its buggy as all hell.
I find that I have to reintall it every time I use it and modify a bunch of the internal text. Most of the time I get it to work around 3am…
good luck

I had somewhat good results with this normally, but here is the problem.

when using phars skin shader, and i click automatic baking, the results aren’t close to the quality i was hoping to get. I constantly have to tell it best render quality even though i initially checked the box.

If you have any ideas to bake it just as I have it let me know. right now for times sake im just rendering it a buncha times to make my skin

thanks

Polyguns…try this instead.

lol, past 2 nights ive literally been trying this, and you showed me a 2 step process. thanks, you saved me from another night
