Masking by alpha / scale

Hello,

I’m trying to mask simple sphere with alpha, in alpha let’s say I have some pattern, I know it’s dependant from uv so that why my masking is big for whole tool. Is it possible to scale it somehow to have object completely masked by little instances of my alpha ?
I’m referring to little screen with tutorial about amidala veil.

If I understand you correctly, the easiest way to do this is probably with Noisemaker :

However, there are many ways to do this–if you cant get it to work one way, try a different approach. Always remember, in Zbrush, Masking = PolyGroups = Polypaint. If you can figure out any way to apply one of those in the way you want, you can convert it to either of the others. So for instance here I’ve applied a the shape I want as a texture, increased the UV repetitions in the UV palette, converted that texture to Polypaint, then converted that Polypaint to masking:
