Creating this Mario project was an incredibly rewarding experience, as I was able to delve deep into every detail of the scene over the course of 6 months. It was a comprehensive study that allowed me to learn and explore various topics related to 3D, such as retopology, scene composition, rendering, and even character design. The project challenged me to push the boundaries of my skills and creativity, and I am thrilled with the final result.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the project was designing the environment around Mario. I spent countless hours researching the world of Mario, analyzing each detail and building a realistic and immersive setting. I also took great care to capture the essence of Mario as a character, exploring his unique movements and expressions to create an authentic and lovable hero.
In addition to the character, I also attempted to create a special render of Mario’s shoe, using a real model recently created for the upcoming Mario film as a reference. This was a particularly challenging task, but one that allowed me to refine my skills and achieve a level of realism that I am proud of.
Throughout the process, I learned invaluable skills that I can apply to future projects, from improving my texturing techniques to mastering complex rendering tools. Overall, this project was a significant milestone in my journey as a 3D artist, and I am excited to continue growing and exploring new frontiers in the world of 3D.
