I fell in love with this photo and wanted to make a portrait study out of it to learn the photorealism workflow for Maya Arnold.
Part of the learning process urged me to do everything by hand without relying on scans. Some base alphas were used for the skin but were overlayered by hand-painted details later. The dress is simulated as it’s not the main focus.
This was an amazing experience! I think there are some nuances I was able to capture but there’s still a lot to learn! Any feedback is highly appreciated smiley
