Hello everyone,
this artwork puts the start of my journey to the most exciting area of 3D art - realistic digital portrait.
I have always been keen on drawing people, mostly realistically with a pencil. This used to be my hobby and finally I reached the point where I can start drawing them with the modern tools of 3d.
In some aspects it is easier than the pencil, in other aspects this is harder, but creating a portrait is definitely what brings fulfilment and joy to me.
So, now I need to analyze my approach and methods, keep in mind all the difficulties I faced along the way and keep practicing to achieve as much realism as possible.
A little bit about the portrait itself.
I wanted to capture Marilyn Monroe with the expression of love, dream and uncertainty at the same time. As if she would look at her beloved man entering the room, and she would be frozen for a while admiring him, but with a shadow of fear to be left aside or forgotten. It could also be a fragment of her dream, where she wears the clothes of the first lady of her times and, of course, being In Love.
