Mapping trouble

Hi guys!

No doubt this is posted elsewhere, but here’s a problem I’m having:
http://www.geocities.com/ken_heslip/mole.jpg

(sorry, no good at html)

The picture is of a mole I modelled and the feet are seperate objects that have been polymeshed on.
As you can see, the texture has a seam running down it…this is still in zbrush…and no amount of painting it will get rid of it. I can easily bring the bmp into a paint package and remove the white line, but should I have to?
Also, when I brought the model into 3ds max, I found that the feet were moveable as separate objects and the polys were flipped the wrong way!! Although when I fixed it, the texture mapped on to it ok.
Thanks…hope you can help.

OK Found the button!

Sounds like you are haveing the same problems as young mr Brycetech did over at the 3d commune in …THIS thread.
It also shows some FANTASTIC examples of how ZBrush is used to remodel existiting models! (Also you’ll find out where aurick came up with the name of his new web site!)

Sorry I can’t see your picture Ken. Any chance you could post it to this board (via the “Upload Image” button?
Upham

Thanks Upham!
That’s exactly the problem. The pic works ok for me and I can’t for the life of me find the “upload image button” on the site.

Hi Ken,

To upload an image start a new post:

POST NEW TOPIC

Write the required text in the box provided. Below the default text box you will see a number of grey buttons that give the following options:

URL
BOLD
QUOTE
LIST
START etc…

on the right hand side you will see a button that says:

UPLOAD IMAGE

click it. Locate the file you want to upload on your hardrive(usually JPG or GIF as I`m sure you know) and follow the prompts. Your image is uploaded to the www.pixolator.com server and renamed, the required code is then inserted into your post using the [IMG] tag familiar to most UBB forums.

Hope that helps
