I’m trying to make some custom menus. Every time I do, on reload the mapping seems to get broken. For examples, to click on “Preferences”, I have to click to the left of it, somewhere around “movies”. Quite frustrating, anyone know whats up? (zBrush 4R4)
The new version is out 4R5 !! Been there and done that or at least tried to. Some success, Not much luck with 4R5 though, yet.
Exactly the same problem here (ZB4R4), if my custom menu name starts with letter F for example, all previous menus (Alpha, Brush… )work fine but the ones after my custom menu are broken. And on top of that I can´t find the way to delete the custom menu… Any suggestions? (I guess that reverting to the default Zbrush interface would fix the problem but I don´t want to lose all the custom stuff I developed )
Enable customise, ctrl+alt click on it, when rename dialog box pops up, delete it.
Thanks Doug, I could delete the custom menus following your instructions, but it did not fix the problem with having the broken menus (if you click in Preferences you get the Render menu for example).
The only solution was to restore the Default UI as follows: Preferences->Restore Default UI->Store Config->Reboot Zbrush. After this, everything worked fine and I am creating custom menus again and is it working as espected, the only thing I can think of the problem is that the config file somehow got corrupted. And as a side note, I recall that when creating the custom UI that got corrupted I renamed the custom menus in several ocasions, maybe that was the reason of the corruption.
@JakeLV426: I hope this help you is some way.
@Doug Jones: Thanks, now I know how to delete custom menus.
Does somebody found way how to avoid this behaviour please ?
Except don not customize UI and write scripts.
This is not funny at all…
Everybody who is playing with zscript must have problems with this.
